The overall goal of the WPCA Quality and Standards working group is to guide the Worldwide Palliative Care Alliance to achieve its vision of “A world with universal access to quality palliative care”, through fostering, influencing and promoting the development of national associations, programs of quality measurement, the development of national palliative care standards, and organizational development generally.
The Quality and Standards working group seeks to implement initiatives that contribute to an international collaborative culture that enables:

Better linkages of research into all workgroups on Advocacy, Children, Education, Policy and Research
Linkage with other international organisations concerned with palliative care development

Improvement in the quality of hospice and palliative care

Promotion of standards for quality palliative care
