We work to promote the development of hospice and palliative care for people living with life-limiting illness.
We support our membership to achieve their aims by supporting quality and standards and organisation and association development.
In addition, we work to tackle barriers at the international level to the development of hospice and palliative care through our policy development and advocacy work.
Improving communications between our membership and to external audiences on hospice and palliative care is also a key objective of the WPCA. We manage the international edition of ehospice which is a globally run news and information resource committed to bringing you the latest news, commentary and analysis from the world of hospice, palliative and end of life care. We also send out an e-newsletter, Worldwide Hospice Palliative Care Online, on international hospice and palliative care twice a month.
Sharing experience and expertise is also vital and we enable this to happen by organising events for our membership.
Children's palliative care is an area which is particularly neglected and the International Children's Palliative Care Network ensures that the particular needs of children with life-limiting illness are addressed in all our work.
