What we do

We work to promote the development of hospice and palliative care for people living with life-limiting illness.

We support our membership to achieve their aims by developing education and training initiatives, quality and standards and organisation and association development.

In addition, we work to tackle barriers at the international level to the development of hospice and palliative care through our policy development and advocacy work.

Sharing experience and expertise is also vital and we enable this to happen by organising events for our membership.

Children's palliative care is an area which is particularly neglected and the International Children's Palliative Care Network ensures that the particular needs of children with life-limiting illness are addressed in all our work.

We are also currently developing our research work group and acting as a brokering service to provide quality consultants who are experts in palliative care development in different settings.
