The WPCA believes that everyone in the world should have access to quality palliative care. We are currently developing our strategic plan and this will be available on the website shortly.
Our working principles
The working principles which underpin the work of the WPCA are:

Support national and regional organisations in the development and implementation of quality palliative care programmes

Act as a resource for palliative care development

Strengthen the voice for palliative care

Support advocacy for palliative care at all levels (international, national, regional, local).
Our work groups
We work through working groups focussing on areas which we have identified can support palliative care development around the world through strengthening national associations. These include advocacy, policy, education and training, quality and standards and research. The WPCA is also host to the International Children's Palliative Care Network and World Hospice and Palliative Care Day with Voices for Hospices.
